Where the facts come from
Every Supplement Facts table on this site is typed from the label of that formula: serving size, servings per bottle, the CFU count, the strains in the order they are printed, other ingredients and the storage line. Prices come from our scheduled catalog update, and the price per day is the price divided by the days a bottle lasts at the serving on the label.
Health wording
We use the same structure/function wording that is printed on our labels, such as "helps support digestive health", and we print the FDA statement with it. We do not say that a formula treats, cures or prevents a condition, and we do not promise how soon anyone will notice anything.
Public health sources
Our guides lean on public agencies and scientific bodies: the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, the FDA and the International Scientific Association for Probiotics and Prebiotics. Every source is opened and read before a sentence cites it, and the date we read it is printed with it. We say what a source says and nothing more.
Ratings and photos
The star rating and the number of ratings on a product come from shoppers at our retail partner, as of our last update. The bottle sizes of one formula can have pools of ratings of their own, and we count each pool once.
Product photos are our own bottles on a plain background. The people in the photos on our pages come from our own product photography, cropped so that no headline sits on them.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, write to labels@pb8.store. We fix facts first and note the change in the next catalog update.
